Singalong to classics from the Music Hall to the 1940’s with Kate Garner, daughter of the legendary Chas Hodges of ‘Chas & Dave’
Join Kate at the piano as she sings the songs that have defined her life, from her childhood growing up in a musical London family to her own successful career as a singer & songwriter.
Kate will play the songs her family sang around the piano at parties and tell of the life changing moment her dad Chas bought her a gramophone when she was 12, introducing her to the stars of Music Hall through to the British Dance Band legends of the 1930’s.
Kate will perform some of her favourite songs and then tell the fascinating stories behind them, from Chas & Dave’s huge hit ‘Ain’t No Pleasin’ You’ to the classics from the great songwriters of Music Hall through to the 1920’s to 1940’s, and…
