North Norfolk Chamber Opera presents Semele by Handel
George Handel’s Semele (HWV 58) is a musical drama set in three parts, based on an opera libretto by William Congreve. It was first performed as an oratorio at Covent Garden Theatre in 1744. The work fuses elements of opera, oratorio and classical drama.
