About the event
On Friday 30th January at 7pm we’ll be screening Hamlet by William Shakespeare, directed by Robert Hastie from the National Theatre.
Olivier Award-winner Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) is Hamlet in this fearless, contemporary take on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy. Trapped between duty and doubt, surrounded by power and privilege, young Prince Hamlet dares to ask the ultimate question – you know the one.
National Theatre Deputy Artistic Director, Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Operation Mincemeat) directs this sharp, stylish and darkly funny reimagining.
The screening has a 12A age classification.
This screening is preceded by an optional fish & chip supper from the Fish Shop in Roughton (or bring your own food) that will be delivered at 7pm, the screening will start around 7:20pm. We will have a licensed bar, heating and a toilet at this event!
