Henries of Sheringham, the famous garage next to The Reef Leisure Centre, have signed a sponsorship deal with Poppyland Radio. Although Henries have supported the award-winning digital station since it was first established in 2021, they're the latest high-profile sponsor to officially pledge their support.
Glenis Wilson of Henries, told us that music has always been played in the workshops and MOT bays on the site.
"We're sponsoring 'The Mardle' live show so listen out for our ad. It's such a good programme and it's great to hear so many local presenters talking about the local people, places and events that we love."
Despite initially focusing on a small local catchment area, demand for truly local radio has grown rapidly to such an extent that Poppyland Radio now broadcasts shows for and by people right across North Norfolk. Now that the BBC have effectively downgraded their local programming, Poppyland Radio have stepped up. Many listeners have already remarked on the exceptional quality and variety of shows on air, with the Mardle show being just one of the jewels in the Poppyland crown.
