Steven Hitcham, organiser of the Norfolk Marathon, announced that Poppyland Radio have been appointed as the Official Media Partner for the 2024 event.
The Norfolk Marathon - or norma as it's become known - takes place on Sunday, 28 April. EPIC Norfolk are organising the event which starts in Cromer. The mainly closed-road marathon weaves its way through Poppyland and North Norfolk, through picturesque countryside and coastal villages, with a breathtaking finish line overlooking Cromer Pier and the sea.
During his interview with presenter Claire Goldwater on The Mardle on Poppyland Radio this week, Steven revealed that over 1100 runners had already signed-up, many of whom will be using the event to raise money through 'norma' official charity partners, or their own chosen charity. Some places are still available so visit the EPIC Norfolk website to register.
Volunteers from the communities on the route are needed to organise water stations along the route, and to cheer on the runners as they complete the 26 mile course.
If you or your community group would like to get involved, contact EPIC Norfolk via Facebook or the website.
The event is sponsored by Tarmac Traffic Management
