The 'Norfolk Treasure Hunt' was inspired by ‘Treasure Quest’, which fell victim to BBC cuts to local radio services a couple of years ago. The Poppyland Radio studio team rely on listeners to help solve the clues that will hopefully lead the Crayford & Abbs radio car to the ‘treasure’ somewhere in north Norfolk.
Anchoring the show, popular local presenter ‘Blunders’ passes instructions on to the Crayford & Abbs Poppyland Radio car driven by Mr. Mike and co-pilot Claire Goldwater (The Mardle), which zig-zags across Norfolk to solve the clues and ultimately, find the treasure. Once the treasure has been hunted down (fingers crossed) it's delivered to a deserving 'Local Treasure' nominated by a listener. That’s the theory anyway, but as it’s a live show, you’ll have to listen in to see what happens. What could possibly go wrong?!

When (if) we find the treasure, we present it to a deserving listener. But who? Someone celebrating a big birthday, a local hero who deserves a treat or someone who's done something amazing against all the odds? Nominate your 'Local Treasure' and they may get a surprise delivery from the Norfolk Treasure Hunt team! (North Norfolk addresses only).
