Across the Universe
There is a theme for each programme, e.g. space travel, the planets, stars, the cosmos, futurism etc. and play a selection of music to reflect each theme. Of course, 'the universe' includes planet Earth (and the moon) and themes of climate, ecology and human influence/universal themes. So there is much to cover!

I grew up in 'Metroland' in the 1960s hence my interest in railways ('Rock & Rail' - one more show to go) and listened regularly to the offshore pirate radio stations ('History of Offshore Radio'). I've worked for local government and then mainly as a Geography teacher (ages 11 - 18). I took many field trips to Norfolk and retired here after teaching.
You won't hear wall-to-wall ads on Poppyland Radio as that's not what listeners tune in for, and we aren't convinced they work very well anyway.
